Early Years Teaching Assistant

Your new company

Hays Education are working with a primary school based in Huyton to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years Team. This job is full-time, 8.30-3.30 Monday-Friday. Starting asap, it will run for the remainder of the academic year.

Your new role

Working across Nursery and Reception classes, you will provide support and guidance to children as they start this school journey. Alongside the class teachers and 2 other full-time TAs, you will offer learning, social and emotional support, leading activities that will follow the EYFS curriculum. The role will involve working as part of a team in the classroom, and also working independently with individuals and small groups in break-out areas as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed

A Level 2 or 3 qualification would be an advantage, though applications will be considered from people without one. You will need experience working with EYFS/ nursery or reception age children within the last 2 years that we can reference. You will have excellent communication skills, and show patience and empathy when working with children.
