Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Looking for a rewarding full-time SEN Teaching Assistant role in Liverpool?
CER Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 7 pupil in a supportive secondary school in the Liverpool area
. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to a young person’s educational journey while gaining valuable SEN experience.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support to a Year 7 pupil
- Support the pupil’s learning, engagement and emotional wellbeing
- Work closely with teachers and the school’s SEND team
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs
- Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour
- Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil
- Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment
We’re looking for candidates who have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND
- A caring, patient and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations
- A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
- Teaching Assistant, care, youth work or relevant transferable experience
