Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a Secondary School in Liverpool. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support pupils across the school, helping them achieve their full potential within a nurturing Catholic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing individual and group support to pupils with diverse educational needs, including SEND.
  • Assisting in the planning and resourcing of SEND provision to enhance learning experiences.
  • Supporting teachers with classroom management and resource preparation to facilitate effective learning.
  • Delivering targeted interventions and support to help students overcome barriers to learning.
  • Promoting an inclusive environment that encourages personal, spiritual, and academic growth in line with the school’s Catholic ethos.
  • Collaborating with the Director of Inclusion to improve SEND strategies and provision.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND or in an educational setting.
  • Mandatory compliance with an Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting pupils.
