An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Core Subjects Tutor to provide individualised educational support in Liverpool.
The successful candidate will be comfortable working on a 1:1 basis and able to tailor tuition to the learner's academic level, strengths and areas for development.
About the Role- Deliver personalised tuition across core subjects
- Establish the learner's starting points and learning objectives
- Prepare purposeful and engaging sessions
- Address gaps in knowledge
- Adapt resources and teaching methods
- Encourage confidence and motivation
- Monitor progress and provide feedback
- Experience teaching or tutoring children or young people
- Strong knowledge of core secondary subjects
- Previous 1:1 experience is beneficial
- Flexible and learner-focused approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- QTS, PGCE or relevant teaching experience desirable
- Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to Work in the UK
- Two professional references involving work with children
