The governing body are looking to appoint an exceptional, inspirational and ambitious leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Head Teacher (Head of Inclusion)

You will lead our SEND provision and ensure that every child receives the right support, challenge and opportunities to thrive.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

  • Will support the Head Teacher in promoting the strong Catholic ethos of our school.
  • Have proven leadership and management skills with the ability to communicate clear vision for their area.
  • Be flexible and creative and have successful experience of raising standards.
  • Be prepared to work in partnership with the challenging and supportive Governing Body.
  • Work in close partnership with the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher on the operational management of the school, to secure provision for pupils of the highest quality.
  • Be prepared to make operational decisions in the absence of the Head Teacher and Deputy Head Teacher.
  • Take an active role in the strategic leadership and management of the school.
  • Take the lead on further developing staff, enabling them to provide a fully inclusive curriculum.
Personal Qualities

Be a passionate leader who is able to nurture, empower and inspire children and staff and lead by example.

  • Be an imaginative and enthusiastic teacher who can raise standards and inspire and support our dedicated team.
  • Be expected to have a commitment to their continuing professional development.
  • Have significant experience of working in the role of SENCO.
  • Hold NASENCO award or NPQSEN(D) or be committed to undertake the qualification
  • Have significant experience of working as part of a Safeguarding Team.
  • Have significant experience of working as part of a Senior Leadership Team.
  • Have significant experience of working with a wide range of external partners.
  • Be outward looking, with a proven record of partnership working and sharing of good practice beyond the school.
