Project Manager – MTC Manufacturing Technology Centre

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our defence team. Reporting into the Senior Programme Manager, you will lead and manage the successful delivery of a number of projects working across various MTC technology themes and industry sectors.

• Ensure customer needs are clearly captured, understood and effectively built into project proposals.
• Liaise with resource owners and team leaders to ensure effective use of resources in delivering project quality, cost and delivery within scope.
• Manage any changes to project scope via the recognised "Change Request" process.
• Act as champion for BMS project management processes, tools and techniques.
• Contribute to continual improvement activities related to PM tools and processes.

• Experienced Project Manager with proven experience of managing multiple projects concurrently.

• Clear leadership style with the ability to direct others to achieve project success.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to articulate effectively at all levels of the business.
• Strong numerical skills with a focus on financial management.
• An organised yet flexible approach with the ability to influence and deliver through others.
• Ability to identify resource requirements and negotiate availability with resource owners and team leaders.
• Results‑driven self‑starter with a positive can‑do approach focusing on solutions rather than problems.
• Experience of Microsoft project management tools, including MS Project and Excel.
• Association of Project Management (APM) qualification or willingness to work towards achieving this accredited qualification.
