Project Manager – Highways & Public Realm

Location: Liverpool

Company Overview: Our client is a specialist, multidisciplinary engineering services provider delivering design, engineering, installation, maintenance, and emergency response solutions across critical infrastructure sectors, including power, renewables, nuclear decommissioning, rail, highways, and local government.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support a number of highways, public realm, and road improvement projects in Liverpool. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships.

• Lead and manage the delivery of highways, public realm, and road improvement projects
• Plan, monitor, and report on project progress, risks, and budgets
• Coordinate with design, engineering, and site teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and client communications
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
• Oversee project documentation, reporting, and quality assurance
• Identify and resolve technical and operational issues promptly
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best practice across projects

• Proven experience delivering highways and public realm projects
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Knowledge of construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure project delivery
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills

Open to freelancers as well as PAYE. Rates/salary negotiable.
