My client is a specialist manufacturer within the Instrumentation sector. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Liverpool on a permanent basis.

• BSc / BEng in Mechanical Engineering or similar
• 4 or more years of industry experience working in a similar Mechanical Design role
• Ideally some experience with process equipment and automation
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and instrumentation
• Excellent proficiency with CAD software – Solid Works is desirable
• Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
• Ability to understand system requirements
• Self‑motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to travel nationally and internationally on occasion

• Use CAD for concept design and produce technical drawings
• Lead client projects to convert ideas into designs
• Work on new product concepts
• Be involved in the product design and development process using CAD
• Lead manufacture, construction, installation and maintenance documentation
• Work with high‑precision instrumentation products
• Perform detailed calculations
• Conduct design reviews
