We are seeking an experienced Fire and Health & Safety Risk Assessor to join our expanding surveying team. The role involves conducting site-based risk assessments on clients’ portfolios, covering internal and external common parts.
Our clients are primarily Residential Property Managers overseeing purpose-built residential developments across the UK.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks- Conducting Fire and General H&S Risk Assessments according to best industry practices.
- Producing accurate, timely risk assessments with clear instructions for required works.
- Liaising with clients to ensure understanding, compliance, and timely resolution of fire-related issues.
- isting clients in creating remedial work schedules if necessary.
- Attending client meetings when needed.
- Peer review and validation of works.
- Providing technical advice aligned with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and relevant H&S legislation.
- Achieving all set KPI targets.
Skills and Qualifications
- CFPA / IFE Level 3 or 4 or equivalent qualification (essential)
- A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays.
- Strong knowledge of fire safety and H&S legislation, technical standards, and industry best practices.
- Proven experience in conducting Fire and H&S Risk Assessments.
- Professional qualifications in fire safety and risk assessments (e.g., Fire Protection Association, Fire Industry Association, NEBOSH).
- Professional qualifications in Health & Safety management and risk assessments (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
- Competence to carry out Type 1, 2 & 4 Fire Risk Assessments when required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomously.
- Understanding of British Standards related to fire and life safety systems and H&S.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships both internally and externally.
