The Role

We are seeking a civil engineering professional who is either a degree-qualified Engineer or an experienced Senior Technician with a proven track record. The role offers the opportunity to lead projects, mentor others, and deliver high-quality design solutions. Typically, this person will have around 4–7 years of consultancy experience and would join our technical team of 30+ people in the Civils Team, based in the Liverpool Office.

Projects span healthcare, commercial, industrial, residential and education with values up to £100m and more. We work on locally notable schemes including Royal Albert Dock, Royal Liver Building, Paddington Knowledge Quarter, the former Little woods Edge Lane Building, and emerging masterplans across Liverpool and the Wirral. The Civil Engineering team supports development with highways, drainage, flood risk, earthworks and technical master planning amongst other elements.

Right Fit

You will have experience of leading and managing some projects as well as delivering design from concept to construction. Experience should include all or some at an advanced level of the design elements the Civil Engineering team delivers. We welcome applications from Chartered Engineers, and from those on the pathway to Chartership who can demonstrate a clear commitment and plan for achieving it.

Required experience includes:

  • Planning applications, such as drainage strategies
  • S278 works (minor and major)
  • AutoCAD software
  • Knowledge of technical approval processes such as S278, S104 and S38
  • Liaison and engagement with stakeholders

Desirable experience includes:

  • Flood Risk Assessments
  • Civil 3D
  • Hydraulic design software (Causeway Flow)
  • Residential housing estate design
