We're looking for an Major Project Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Mechanical Electrical and Technology team based in Liverpool.
Location: Liverpool
Hours: 37.5 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
Salary: Starting form £50,000 per annum
Sector: Mechanical Electrical and Technology

You’ll lead electrical design on major, complex projects—delivering compliant, sustainable and buildable solutions from concept through to construction.
Working within Kier Design’s in‑house consultancy, you’ll collaborate closely with construction and commercial teams to influence design outcomes and drive project success.
- A Chartered Electrical Engineer (or working towards) with CIBSE or IET?
- A Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong building services experience?
- Ready to step into a leading role on major infrastructure projects?
- Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services?
- Bring experience across public and private sector projects?
- Confidently lead multidisciplinary design teams and stakeholders?

As an Major Projects Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll support the delivery of schemes within the Kier Design team, including:
- Lead electrical design delivery on major infrastructure projects
- Provide expert technical guidance and assurance
- Coordinate multidisciplinary design and ensure compliance
- Drive BIM, innovation and sustainability outcomes
- Manage cost, risk and stakeholder engagement
- Report progress, risks and performance to senior leadership
This role of Major Projects Senior Electrical Engineer is great for you if you:
- Are Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer (CIBSE or IET)
- Are Chartered or working towards
- Have a proven senior‑level building services experience
- Have strong technical, communication and QA capability
- Able to meet BPSS security requirements
