About the roleAs a Project Manager in our Non‑Infra team, you’ll be responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of projects in both water treatment and wastewater treatment, overseeing all on‑site activities in line with framework requirements. You’ll proactively manage risks, identifying potential issues early and implementing timely solutions to ensure safe, on‑time, and within‑budget delivery. You’ll lead projects to the highest professional standards, coordinating internal teams and supply chain partners, and managing every stage of the project lifecycle in close collaboration with Avove’s clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
LocationGiven the nature of the role, we will consider applications from candidates located throughout the Severn Trent region. (East and West Midlands)

- Monitor delivery and financial performance against the programme, identifying risks early and taking corrective action to maintain budget and timelines.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the programme of work, ensuring all activities align with contract scope and framework requirements.
- Prepare monthly Cost Value Reconciliation (Forecast) documents and present them to senior management.
- Regularly monitor progress and facilitate collaborative planning sessions to challenge durations and identify opportunities.
- Work with the team to ensure quality and programme outputs are met.
- Promote and uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring compliance with Avove’s Work Together, Safe Together ethos.
- Experience of working in the Water/Wastewater sector, with knowledge of processes and challenges in this environment.
- Understanding of programme delivery processes and contract scope.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
- Awareness of NEC3/4 contract mechanisms.
- Full, valid UK driving licence – travel within the contract area is required.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Financial awareness with the ability to manage and work within budgets.
- Skilled in resource prioritisation and adapting to changing environments.
