Sodexo is seeking an Engineering Planner & Compliance Coordinator to join our team at a flagship pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Speke, Liverpool.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a highly regulated GMP environment, coordinating engineering, maintenance and compliance activities that support critical manufacturing operations.
Working closely with engineering teams, specialist contractors and client stakeholders, you will be responsible for maintenance planning, contractor management, permit-to-work processes, compliance coordination and the delivery of small engineering projects. This role offers excellent exposure to engineering operations, facilities management and compliance leadership within one of the most demanding and rewarding sectors in industry.

What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance activities through CMMS and work management systems.
- Schedule engineering resources and contractor activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Prioritise work orders and monitor progress against agreed KPIs and service levels.
- Support engineering teams with planning, scheduling and workload management.
- Attend and support engineering planning meetings and daily operational reviews.
Compliance & Safe Systems of Work
- Review and coordinate permits to work, risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Conduct site inspections, safety walk-downs and compliance checks.
- Ensure engineering activities are delivered in accordance with GMP, GxP, Health & Safety legislation and site procedures.
- Support contractor control processes and ensure compliance with site standards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance, compliance and audit records.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate specialist contractors and service providers across the site.
- Act as a key point of contact between engineering teams, contractors and client stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
- Build strong relationships with operational teams and client representatives to support excellent service delivery.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Manage small engineering and facilities projects from quotation through to completion.
- Raise purchase requisitions and support budgetary controls where required.
- Support site refurbishment, improvement and infrastructure projects.
- Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, maintenance delivery and operational performance.
- Produce KPI reports and management information to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a proactive and organised professional who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and enjoys coordinating multiple work streams while maintaining exceptional standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
- Experience with in engineering maintenance, facilities management, technical services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or other regulated environments.
- Proven experience coordinating maintenance activities, contractors or engineering services.
- Experience using CMMS, CAFM or work management systems.
- Knowledge of permit-to-work systems, RAMS and contractor control procedures.
- Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
