Project Manager - Water Catchment Area (Various UK locations)

This role engages with the Environment Agency, local authorities, and water companies to deliver sustainable river basin projects that address flood risk, water quality, climate resilience, and biodiversity.

Responsibilities
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams through all stages of a project, from early planning to delivery.
  • Work closely with clients such as the Environment Agency and water companies.
  • Manage scope, budget, programme and risk to keep projects on track.
  • Develop practical delivery plans aligned with client goals.
  • Maintain project organisation with clear milestones, reporting and documentation.
  • Ensure projects meet safety and regulatory requirements, including CDM.
  • Identify and implement improvements in delivery with a focus on sustainability.
  • Support a collaborative team environment that enables high performance.
Qualifications
  • Experience delivering large infrastructure projects, ideally with the Environment Agency or local authorities.
  • Good understanding of flood alleviation schemes.
  • Familiarity with the Five Case Model (SOC, OBC, FBC).
  • Experience with project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera and design platforms such as AutoCAD or BIM.
  • APM qualification or chartership and/or experience with NEC4 contracts (PSC or ECC) is desirable.
