Key Responsibilities
- Assist in development and delivery of Asset Care strategy within BU and across site
- Deliver actions within the Quality and Safety areas to control risk
- Develop improvement plans for assets through RCM and risk mapping
- Motivate and engage with cross functional operation teams
- Create project justification documentation and drive improvement
- Involvement in development of key programs on site, including Food Safety, EH&S, Calibration, Predictive Maintenance
- Support with operational AM, Centre lining and task transfer activities
- Ensure support, commitment and training/coaching for Operations staff
- Deliver Asset Care maintenance as per plan
- Support the BU with all engineering aspects within the area
- Compliance with RCA process on site
- Objective based targets for improvement projects
- Danone rules and standards
- Product conformity
- Maintenance SIM 3 KPIs
- Line OE figures
- OEE system data
- Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical & Electronic Engineering (HNC, HND, BEng) - MS office, MS Project, MS Visio
- Experience:
Maintenance, Facilities, Projects engineering - Ideally cross skilled in terms of Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Fluid Power, some PLC knowledge/understanding preferable (Siemens)
- Core Functional
Competencies:
Good verbal and written communications, with strong personality able to handle management and resolution of construction issues. - Leadership
Competencies:
Some leadership qualities will be necessary to manage the OEMs, cross functional improvement teams and members of any teams created - Safety:
Strong focus on safety management, Knowledge of Danone Wise safety program would be an advantage - Good Project/Programme Management Skills, key communication skills
- Understands manufacturing/engineering equipment
- Use of SAP CMMS or similar
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Shift Engineer on a permanent contract to join us in our Liverpool plant, where you will work on a variety of process and site facility equipment. As the Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for delivery of all planned, preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance through a developed Asset Care strategy for the area. This role will support the Business Unit production shift leaders with any critical decision making and be responsible for the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance activities on shift.
Within the role, you will install, repair, inspect, calibrate and overhaul plant/machinery, both electrically and mechanically, to ensure continuous production and improvements within the plant. In addition, you will ensure facilities are in compliance with health and safety, GMP and best-practice guidelines.
You must maintain, improve and sustain the overall equipment efficiency of the area under your responsibility as well as being responsible for closing skills gaps identified by the skills matrix.
We require an engineering related qualification of at least Level 3 but preferably Level 4 HNC. But most importantly experience in similar roles working as electrical and/or mechanical engineer.
