• Leading mechanical design delivery on large, complex construction projects
• Producing high‑quality designs and specifications aligned to client requirements
• Acting as the mechanical engineering lead in design and coordination meetings
• Providing expert technical advice across all aspects of building services engineering
• Ensuring fully coordinated, compliant, and cost‑effective design solutions
• Collaborating with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Supporting pre‑construction activities, including budgets and pre‑tender estimates
• Driving sustainable design and innovative engineering solutions
• Maintaining quality assurance, design standards, and regulatory compliance
• Identifying and resolving technical challenges throughout project lifecycle
• Contributing to BIM and continuous improvement initiatives
• Reporting on progress, risks, and performance to senior leadership

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• Membership of CIBSE or IMechE
• Chartered status (or actively working towards it)
• Proven experience delivering mechanical designs on large, complex projects
• Strong technical expertise in building services design and engineering
• Experience working within structured design processes and quality frameworks

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams
• A passion for sustainability and modern construction methods
• Confidence influencing design decisions at senior level
