Terminal Engineer

Overview

The successful candidate will join the Terminal Engineering team in a multi-skilled role and will be required to:

• Carry out planned, remedial, and reactive maintenance work on critical systems across the estate.
• Liaise with the Engineering Team Leader to ensure stock control and administrative duties are completed to departmental standards.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across the business as required.
• Comply and cooperate with the Company's Safety Management System and all relevant policies and procedures.
• Work under the direction of a Shift Engineering Team Leader on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern consisting of 12-hour shifts (2 days followed by 2 nights), with occasional requirement for overtime.
• Typical systems include:
  Life safety systems, including fire alarms.

• Applicants must hold a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Operations Engineering and demonstrate relevant experience in a maintenance engineering role.
• The successful candidate must also hold C&G 2365 in Electrotechnical craft or equivalent qualification.
• The successful candidate will have experience in conveyor systems, barrier and gate control, PLC, plumbing and water systems. Knowledge in HVAC systems is desirable.
• We are also looking for candidates who have a good level of computer literacy, excellent team working skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a 24/7 environment. The ideal candidate will also have prior experience in a customer service focussed engineering role.

£41,280 (increasing to £45,408 at full competence)
