Position: Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM)
Our client, a pivotal player in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) to join their projects team on a contract basis. This role involves working on significant Network Rail projects and provides an opportunity to deliver impactful work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing engineering activities to ensure they meet Network Rail standards
Managing and coordinating the engineering aspects of construction projects
Providing technical guidance and support across various projects
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards
Coordinating with project teams to accomplish construction goals with contractors, designers and stakeholders
Identifying potential technical issues and implementing effective solutions
Manage technical risk, change an engineering issues
Maintaining detailed records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle
Fostering a strong safety culture within the engineering team

Job Requirements:

Experience as a Contractor's Engineering Manager (CEM) in the rail sector
Background in civil engineering, with a strong understanding of construction processes

Experience with Network Rail standards and requirements
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Proven ability to manage engineering projects from inception to completion
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Understanding of IR35 regulations
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
