Mechanical Design Engineer

EXCLUSIVE ROLE:
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support the development of a new industrial product, working closely with the Technical Manager from concept through to prototype manufacture.

Key Responsibilities Develop 3D CAD models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings.

Design fabricated structures, welded assemblies and sheet metal components.

Support product development from concept to prototype build.

Produce bills of materials and engineering documentation.

Liaise with manufacturing and procurement to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.

Support testing, problem solving, and continuous improvement activities.

About You Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.

Experience designing industrial equipment, machinery or engineered products.

Proficient in Solid Works or similar 3D CAD software.

Experience with fabricated steelwork and sheet metal design.

Good understanding of Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Assembly (DfA).Desirable:

Experience with prototype development, thermal processing equipment, or compliance standards (CE/UKCA).A great opportunity to be involved in full product development from concept through to manufacture.
