Are you a Principal Civil Engineer looking for greater influence over projects, people and technical delivery? This Liverpool role offers the opportunity to lead development infrastructure projects while helping shape the continued growth of an established civil engineering team.

A growing engineering consultancy is looking for a Principal Civil Engineer to join its Liverpool team. You will lead civil engineering delivery across commercial, education, healthcare, residential and leisure developments, including major multi-million-pound projects.

• Lead drainage, SuDS, highways and development infrastructure design
• Oversee projects from feasibility through detailed design and delivery
• Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
• Provide technical review and guidance across the civils team
• Manage client relationships, programmes and project delivery
• Mentor engineers and technicians
• Support the continued development of the civil engineering team

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong UK development infrastructure consultancy experience
• Technical capability across drainage, SuDS and highways
• Experience with Civil 3D, Info Drainage, PDS or Site 3D
• Strong project and client management capability
• Chartered or working towards Chartership

This Principal Civil Engineer role provides genuine influence over technical delivery and team development while retaining hands-on involvement in projects. The salary is £58,000 - £68,000, alongside hybrid working, professional membership fees and structured professional development.
