Graduate Noise Consultant – Liverpool Overview

Penguin Recruitment is hiring on behalf of our client for an enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Noise Consultant to join their client’s team near Liverpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to kickstart their career in environmental noise and acoustics. As part of the team, the candidate will gain hands‑on experience and work on a variety of exciting projects, contributing to meaningful environmental solutions.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of £27,000-£30,000 per year
, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

As a Graduate Noise Consultant, key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting environmental noise surveys and assessments
    .
  • Performing noise monitoring and data analysis
    .
  • Undertaking noise assessments for planning and development projects
    .
  • Preparing detailed technical reports
    .
  • Engaging in acoustic modelling and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with clients, planners, and project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • A degree in acoustics
    , physics
    , engineering
    , environmental science
    , or a related discipline.
  • A genuine interest in noise and acoustics, with a practical and analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Day-to-Day

A typical day will involve:

  • Conducting site visits to perform noise surveys and collect data.

  • Collaborating with experienced consultants to deliver client-focused solutions.
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to project planning.
