Job Description About the Role

We are seeking a proactive Process Engineer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Working closely with Build & Test, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality teams, you will identify and implement process improvements, develop robust operational standards, support new system deployments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact on efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance

Key Responsibilities
  • Review existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, including MHRs, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Support the deployment of new systems, technologies, and operational methods.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to improve performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Coach and support technicians in the use of standardised processes and Lean methodologies.
  • Analyse data and report findings to support investigations and decision-making.
  • Support cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and process standardisation.
Who We're Looking For
  • Degree qualified or equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline
  • Experience in process improvement, manufacturing engineering, operations, quality, or continuous improvement environments
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience developing process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and operational standards
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Visio, and Power BI
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies would be advantageous
  • Experience with process modelling or business architecture tools such as Erwin Evolve would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently within a fast-paced environment
