The Opportunity

BIM is seen as a collaboration tool in design which can be used as a practical driver of better outcomes. Bringing together designers, engineers, and clients helps teams challenge assumptions, avoid “tunnel vision”, and develop solutions that work as an integrated whole.

We are seeking an early career professional to join our team in promoting the growth of the Arup Water Business, within our Water BIM team. You will join a team of professionals with diverse industry knowledge. With secured frameworks, we have a strong forward pipeline of opportunities with clients who share our passion for shaping a better world including Welsh Water, Thames Water, Severn Trent Water, the Environment Agency and Natural Resources Wales

Is this role right for you?

For this opportunity, we are seeking the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

• Minimum of a Bachelors Degreein Engineering such as Civil Engineering;
  Electrical Engineering; or Mechanical Engineering , with a bias towards Digital Engineering and/or a Master'sdegree in Building Information Management.
• Knowledge of design software such as the Autodesk Suite or the Bentley suite and experience of working in cloud hosted document environments.
• Ability to draw in 2D and 3D software
• Knowledge of the BIM standards BS EN ISO 19650 and peripheral documents, such as AEC Protocol, and NBS
• Good technical expertise and a sound comprehension of data management,scripting, webdevelopmentand visualisation work
• Experience in project modelling using multiple CAD applications
• Proven academic experience of utilising and deploying data solutions
• Awareness of front-end and back-end languages, and UK Adoptable Standards and programming applications
• Abilityto manage own work,good communication skills,effectively translate technical language to the language of business,strong problem solving skills, interest in working with clients

• No more than 12 months of full-time experience in a comparable role
• Recently graduated, or on track to graduate, from your most recent degree, related to your role of choice, before employment starts.
