Venue & Event Manager

Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Venue & Event Manager on a 7-month contract, highly likely to be extended at client's discretion.

• Develop business opportunities, secure venue hire bookings, and coordinate event logistics.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales and event delivery journey.
• Drive venue hire sales and identify new business opportunities to maximise revenue generation.
• Manage the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of corporate, public and private events.
• Conduct venue show rounds, presentations and client meetings to convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, contracts and procurement documentation in accordance with council procedures.
• Produce detailed event specifications, event management plans and post-event reports, including profit and loss analysis.

• Event Management qualification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with in Venue Management, Event Management, Sales, Operations or Logistics Management.
• Proven experience coordinating internal teams, contractors and external suppliers to deliver successful events.
• Strong commercial awareness with experience securing business opportunities and maximising revenue.
• Excellent customer service, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience producing management reports, financial reports and event profit and loss analysis.
