About The TeamProtecting our customers and business from fraud is at the heart of what we do. You will join a dedicated Fraud Risk Analytics team of five within our Credit Risk department of approximately sixty FTEs, working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where your ideas can make a real impact.
AboutThe Role
As a Fraud Analyst, you will help us understand and respond to fraud risks using data. You will support the development of fraud rules, monitor performance, and spot new threats before they become problems. This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
Responsibilities- Analyze fraud patterns and customer behaviours using data to support strategy development.
- Monitor the performance of existing fraud rules and identify areas for improvement.
- Support the design, testing and implementation of new fraud controls.
- Build dashboards, reports or models to help stakeholders understand key risks and trends.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Credit Risk, Fraud Operations and wider teams to protect customers and the business.
- Natural curiosity, analytical mindset, and enjoyment of problem‑solving.
- Degree in a numerate subject such as Maths, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Comfortable working with data in Excel, SQL or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills, both in team collaboration and in presenting insights.
- Team player with a proactive mindset and a desire to learn and grow.
- Organised and able to manage time effectively in a fast‑moving environment.
- Exposure to large datasets or a risk‑related environment.
- Interest in financial crime, fraud prevention or credit risk.
- Familiarity with SQL, SAS, R, Python, Excel or Power BI.
