FM Cost Coordinator

Salary: £29,875 per annum

About the role:

Cost Coordinator to support senior management team within the Knowsley School contract. Reporting to the Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production of regular routine reports and financial statistical data for senior management team and finance business partner.
  • Regular liaison with the finance business partner relating to effective management of profit and loss.
  • Coordination of financial work in progress (WIP).
  • Collate and submit the monthly application for payment. Invoice once approved.
  • Align monthly tasks to finance timetable; identify and report on any deadlines that cannot be met and their financial implication.
  • Control of "goods received" and pursuit of invoices from EQUANS supply chain.
  • Investigate invoices submitted eligible for payment/dispute.
  • Assist supply chain with outstanding invoice arrears.
  • Oversee all aspects of purchase order receipting in COUPA.
  • Key liaison with external and internal finance functions.
  • Ensure all contract variations are eligible and billed at the agreed fee in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Actively monitor and chase debt, resolving any queries leading to non-payment.
  • Carry out other duties requested by the Account Manager to maintain effective support of the Contract Management Team.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems.
  • Weekly review of potential billable items and accrual reports awaiting invoice submissions.

Who You Are
  • Background knowledge of finance‑based functions within a similar area.
  • Strong organisational skills and willingness to adapt to a high‑paced work environment.
  • Competence of all Microsoft Office functions (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Incentivised approach to problem solving.
  • Experience with in the FM industry would be ideal but not essential.
Requirements

Enhanced DBS with Barred Lists check – must be able to pass.

Right to work in the UK.
