Financial Accountant (Statutory Accounts) - 6 Months FTC
Are you a skilled Financial Accountant with a passion for precision and a commitment to excellence? Our client, a prominent organisation in the housing industry, is on the lookout for a talented individual to join their team as a Financial Accountant (Statutory Accounts) on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of statutory accounts while working in a dynamic environment.
Location: Liverpool (with some travel to St Helens/Warrington)
Start Date: Early February 2026
Working Pattern: Full Time, Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
As the Financial Accountant, you will be at the forefront of the year-end process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Year-End Process: Manage the timetable and tasks, ensuring all milestones are met for the production of statutory accounts in line with FRS
102 standards and Housing SORP. - Producing Financial Statements: Prepare compliant statements for the group and subsidiaries, adhering to all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with Auditors: Act as the key contact for external auditors, providing necessary information and resolving queries to ensure a seamless auditing process.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to deliver exceptional service and maintain strong relationships.
- Compliance and
Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulatory standards, and corporate risk management frameworks.
What We’re Looking For:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- Proven experience in financial reporting and group accounting,
- Strong knowledge of FRS
102 - Exceptional project management skills and the ability to manage change effectively.
- High IT literacy and a commitment to continuous professional development.
