Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Financial Accountant to join our UK&I Accounting and Controls team and help build a best‑in‑class financial controls and governance framework in a fast‑moving, regulated FTSE
100 environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is recently qualified and looking to move into industry or has been working in industry post qualification.

The role offers exposure to Experian Limited Board, auditors, FCA, Group Finance, GFS, Tax, Treasury and more, perfect for a finance professional looking to broaden their experience.

Reporting into the Director of Accounting and Controls, you will play an important part in shaping and maintaining a control environment, being a central link between GFS, GFR, ICFR and the UK&I finance teams. Your work will support financial governance across a complex and high‑profile business.

What you will do
  • Ensure Experian's capital is deployed effectively through capex forecasting, governance, and analysis (SPCs / PIRs / Athena).
  • Coordinate reporting to Experian Limited Board, including dividend and wind‑down reserve calculations.
  • Work with senior partners across the business, including GFS, Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Group Financial Reporting, to achieve robust compliance and governance framework of an ICFR‑compliant, FCA regulated entity in a multinational FTSE
    100 business.
  • Support the integrity of financial reporting across P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, capex, depreciation and below EBIT items; conduct balance sheet reviews with BUs and global functions and present to the Regional CFO.
  • Ensure smooth year‑end close and clean audit processes, with a focus on journals and intangibles.
Qualifications
  • A qualified accountant with some post‑qualified experience, showing progressive financial experience across different roles, ideally from Big 4.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with the ability to research and reach appropriate conclusions.
  • Provide compelling recommendations and influence senior leaders (both finance and non‑finance).
  • Experience managing projects end‑to‑end and getting results, organising and prioritising deadlines.
  • Experience dealing with complex issues and conveying them in a simple manner.
Benefits
  • Hybrid working – 40% hybrid working in the office.
  • Great compensation package and discretionary bonus.
  • Core benefits include pension, Bupa healthcare, Share‑Save scheme and more.
  • 25 days annual leave with 8 bank holidays and 3 volunteering days; you can purchase additional annual leave.
