We are looking to recruit an individual with passion for the industry to join a well‑established team. The role requires a multi‑tasker with excellent prioritising skills as it will be working with two existing and highly experienced administrators in assisting six Investment Managers. The work covers all aspects of administration of the accounts, from opening, working with investment managers during the account’s life, and closing accounts, while ensuring this is performed in a compliant manner.
Attention to detail and delivering on deadlines are essential.
The individual will report to the Team’s Head while working closely with the investment managers and rest of the team/office. You will be responsible for:
- Opening, maintaining, and closing investment accounts in a compliant manner.
- Assisting with the production of investment proposals and PowerPoint presentations.
- Distributing ongoing client reporting and maintaining suitability letters and affirmations.
- Facilitating the smooth opening of new accounts, arranging payments to clients and advisers.
- Preparing meeting minutes, booking events, meeting rooms, and client‑meeting restaurants.
- Ensuring Investment Managers are well prepared for client meetings.
- Maintaining overall team administration, including CPD record keeping for regulated members.
- Communicating with clients and external stakeholders (IFAs, solicitors, accountants) to provide portfolio information and reports.
Ideally you will have experience in a similar role as an Investment Administrator within Wealth or Investment Management, however this is not essential. Strong administration skills are a must.
- Independent worker and thinker with a keen eye for detail.
- Interest in financial services or a good understanding of our financial services to utilise knowledge in investment management.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable writing and responding to emails and letters, and talking to clients on the phone.
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially practical experience with mail merges and producing presentations.
- A willingness to learn and take on responsibility to support the team.
