Role Overview
HSBC, one of the largest banking and financial services organisations globally, is looking for a Relationship Director to manage a portfolio of domestic and international clients with a turnover of £15M to £350M. The role includes customer service excellence, credit and operational risk management and the development of new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Be an ambassador for HSBC and develop the bank’s profile in the local business and wider community
- Place customers’ needs at the forefront of all that we do, setting world‑class standards
- Seek and nurture new opportunities, identifying business opportunities within existing relationships
- Build a network of business introducers in the local professional and business community
- Adhere to structures and processes for the management of credit, operational, reputation, financial crime and regulatory risk
- Collaborate with product partners to assess needs of international and domestic customers and offer appropriate solutions
- Experience in Corporate Banking, Business Banking or Financial Services (essential)
- Strong knowledge of Commercial Banking products (essential)
- Credit and lending experience (essential)
- Proven ability to identify and meet customer needs and manage complex lending requests (essential)
- Comprehensive understanding of risk management and compliance with regulatory processes (advantageous)
- Self‑driven, capable of managing conflicting priorities and delivering to deadlines (essential)
- Experience developing growth opportunities with existing and new bank clients (essential)
The position is hybrid, with the base location at either Chester, Manchester or Liverpool. Working hours will include home and office work and regular client visits within the Northwest. Applicants should be within a reasonable commuting distance of the region.
