Senior Financial Accountant

Resourcery Group are working with a brilliant client in Liverpool as they look to hire a new Senior Financial Accountant. Our client is a market leader in their field and has an excellent reputation. The business has grown significantly in recent years and the Senior Financial Accountant will be a key part of a high performing and well respected finance team.

This is a brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to make their first or second move away from practice.

As Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing the group balance sheet, ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with relevant accounting standards. You will support statutory reporting processes at both group and entity level, while contributing to improvements in reporting quality and financial governance.

Our client has modern offices in Liverpool but has also embraced hybrid working.

• Supporting preparation and review of consolidated and statutory accounts
• Assisting with year-end processes, including audit coordination
• Producing technical accounting papers for internal and external stakeholders
• Overseeing capital asset processes and ensuring appropriate capitalisation
• Acting as a key contact for revenue recognition matters
• Strengthening balance sheet review processes across the business
• Supporting budgeting processes and month-end reconciliations
• Contributing to process improvements and financial control enhancements
• Assisting with financial risk management and reporting

• (ACA/ACCA) Background in audit/practice
• Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work both independently and collaboratively
• Confident communicator with experience engaging stakeholders
