Position: Management Accountant (Remuneration)

About the Role

Play a key role in delivering insightful and timely management information across the Group’s remuneration and incentive schemes, including actuals, budgets, and forecasts. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to produce Investment Management and Financial Planning incentive reporting, helping to drive informed decision-making and ensuring rewarding, performance-driven outcomes across the business

What you’ll be responsible for
  • Support the team in their duties; to enable Finance to meet its deliverables and objectives.
  • Be a key person in the production, review and distribution costs relating to all group remuneration schemes.
  • Be a key person in the production, review and distribution costs relating to all group share-based payment schemes.
  • Understand and be able to clearly articulate key variances relating to remuneration and SBP at both a group and entity level.
  • Participate in the preparation of forecasts/actuals/budgets relating to all group remuneration schemes.
  • Contribute to maintaining an effective control environment around IM team structures within the Finance environment.
  • Partner with department heads, reward team, payroll, cosec, IM's and distribution team on matters relevant to remuneration.
  • Involvement in the production, review and distribution of IM P&L's, new business scheme statements and distribution team commission statements.
  • Partner with IM's on queries relating to IM P&L's new business scheme statements and distribution team commission statements.
  • Collaborate with Finance colleagues to deliver timely and accurate Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Identify ineffective / inefficient processes and undertake enhancements as part of continuous improvement activities.
  • Have input into the group and entity statutory accounts and audit process.
  • To assist in ad hoc projects as required.
About you
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • 5 years + PQE
  • Qualified by experience
  • Able to communicate information, ideas, or issues effectively and clearly through the most appropriate channel within the team and to key stakeholders.
  • Able to organise and prioritise own workload effectively, working to a high degree of autonomy.
  • Confident challenging processes and escalating issues.
  • Effective problem solver, generating practical solutions to often complex issues.
  • An eye for detail, able to identify, investigate and clearly explain variance.
  • Self-motivated with high energy and enthusiasm
  • Builds effective relationships with stakeholders across the firm.
  • Strong collaboration skills - proactively seeks to share information and ideas.
  • Comfortable working across the MS Office suite of applications.
  • Keeps up to date with developments in the industry, including emerging risks and regulation.
  • Able to consolidate and present information and analysis in an effective, digestible, and timely manner.
