Interim Financial Controller

Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits (Negotiable)
Accountable Recruitment is partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract to provide maternity cover.

This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to take ownership of financial control, reporting, month-end close activities and team leadership within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information while driving process improvement and supporting ongoing change initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Reviewing and approving journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Managing the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Producing insightful variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
• Maintaining a strong financial control environment and ensuring audit readiness.
