Pension Administrators

Capita Pension Solutions is looking for experienced Pension Administrators to join our team. These are permanent opportunities where you'll play a key role in delivering a wide range of pension administration activities, including complex casework across a variety of member events and pension processes. Pension Administrators

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Typical working hours are 9am to 5.30pm, although there may be some flexibility around start times, with working hours commencing between 7.30am and 10am, depending on business requirements.

What you'll be doing

• Working towards overall team goals to deliver excellent customer service in line with procedural and Service Level requirements, handling a variety of pension administration tasks, which may include bereavement cases, changes of address, valuations, quotations, projections and policy amendments.
• Investigating and resolving complex member queries and complaints, requiring strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
• Communicating clearly and professionally with members, beneficiaries and third parties, both verbally and in writing, ensuring a high standard of correspondence at all times.
• Identifying and reporting risks, complaints and breaches in line with internal processes and regulatory requirements.
• Adhering to Quality Management Systems and compliance standards set by Capita and relevant regulatory bodies.
• Taking ownership of your personal development and building knowledge across different areas of the pension lifecycle.
• Supporting wider team objectives and contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.

• Proven experience in pension administration.
• Strong knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension schemes.
• Strong experience carrying out and checking manual pension calculations, with a high degree of accuracy.
• Intermediate Excel skills, with experience using it for data management and administrative tasks.
• Confidence in investigating complex issues and working through problem-solving scenarios.
• Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence and consider the wider member impact.
• Excellent attention to detail, numeracy skills and a commitment to delivering work right first time.
• Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• A collaborative team player with the ability to support and positively contribute to the wider team.
• Previous experience of bereavement administration within a pension environment would be advantageous.
