Overview
We are a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with brain injuries. We provide neurorehabilitation through a network of assessment centres, rehabilitation units, and hospitals. Our team of experts helps individuals regain the skills they have lost due to brain injuries sustained from trauma, illness, or substance abuse. Our mission is to support individuals in achieving their personal recovery goals through evidence-based care in a supportive environment.

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Liverpool. This is a part-time position offering a unique opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist neuropsychological services to adults with acquired brain injuries.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide specialist psychological/neuropsychological assessments for adults with acquired brain injuries, using a variety of tools such as tests, self-report scales, structured observations, and interviews.

* Formulate and implement psychological interventions in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring interventions are evidence-based and tailored to individual needs.

* Act as a keyworker/clinical lead for service users, coordinating care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.

* Contribute psychological advice to the multidisciplinary team and assist in the development and implementation of care plans.

* Conduct psychological risk assessments and provide guidance on risk management for service users.

* Maintain clinical records to a high standard, ensuring compliance with professional and organisational standards.

* Provide support and guidance to carers, families, and other professionals involved in the care of service users.

* Participate in the on-call rota, providing support as needed.

* Engage in research activities relevant to neuropsychological care, contributing to service development and the overall clinical offering.

* Keep abreast of the latest developments in clinical psychology and neuropsychology, particularly in neurorehabilitation.

Person Specification

Essential

* Degree in Psychology accepted by the British Psychological Society for Graduate Basis Registration (G ) or equivalent.

* Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent qualification to meet HCPC registration requirements.

* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

* Experience producing detailed clinical reports.

* Knowledge of relevant legislation and clinical best practices related to brain injury.

* Ability to manage complex clinical information and provide psychological input in multi-disciplinary teams.

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences.

* Ability to work with challenging and sometimes unpredictable service users.

Desirable

* Experience in neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation.

* Strong interest in working with adults with acquired brain injuries.

* Experience working in multidisciplinary teams and offering clinical supervision to junior colleagues.
