We’re looking for a
** Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
** to join our Therapy Team at
** Together Trust**, delivering high-quality, evidence-based support primarily within mainstream school settings.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, autonomous practitioner who enjoys combining
** direct clinical work**,
** consultancy**, and
** training**, while contributing to the development of a progressive, multidisciplinary service.###
About the role:
You’ll be an integral part of a supportive
** multi-disciplinary team**, working alongside Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Advisory Teachers, PBS practitioners, Sleep Practitioners and others.
Your role will focus on:
* Delivering
** specialist speech and language therapy
** at Universal, Targeted and Specialist levels
* Supporting pupils with
** complex communication needs**, including learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Conditions
* Providing
** consultation, advice and training
** to school staff, families and carers
* Advising on complex cases and supporting the development of junior colleagues
* Contributing to
** service development, audit and clinical governance
** You’ll work flexibly in line with Service Level Agreements and play a key role in ensuring interventions are impactful, evidence-based and aligned with professional standards (RCSLT and HCPC).###
What we’re looking for:
You’ll be a confident, compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist who can work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
You’ll need:
* A
** degree in Speech and Language Therapy
*** HCPC registration and RCSLT membership
* Significant post-qualification experience
* Experience working with children, young people or adults with complex needs
* Strong assessment, intervention and outcome-measurement skills
* Experience of multidisciplinary working and providing training
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable experience includes:
* Working in specialist or educational settings
* Clinical supervision and service development
* Specialist training (e.g. AAC, dysphagia, mental health)###
