Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the occupational therapy team at The Walton Centre, the UK's only stand‑alone neurosciences NHS Trust, delivering a range of specialist services to a population of 3.5 million people across Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, the Isle of Man and North Wales. The post sits within The Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN) – a unique collaborative integrated pathway delivered via a hub and spoke model providing specialist rehabilitation to patients who have suffered traumatic injury or illness dependent on need and not diagnosis.
Responsibilities- Carry a complex caseload.
- Support the Rehabilitation pathway and liaise with the Hub, Spokes and Extended Rehabilitation to facilitate a seamless discharge for patients from the Network inpatient facilities.
- Provide training and supervision to junior staff and undergraduate/pre‑registration students.
- Suitable experience as an occupational therapist, well‑motivated and dynamic.
- Demonstrated range of skills to join our rehabilitation inpatient team.
- Excellent organisational skills, interest in audit and research, and commitment to continuing professional development.
