- Progression: Up to £49,000 once all when all professional development pathway training is passed following assessments.
As a senior leader within our service, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring detained individuals receive safe, accurate and compassionate healthcare.
You will:
- Lead, support and supervise a team of Healthcare Professionals
, ensuring high‑quality clinical assessments, robust documentation and consistent care standards. - Oversee rota management
, stepping in where necessary to maintain safe staffing and service continuity. - Work closely with the Clinical Lead
as part of an integrated leadership team, ensuring local processes reflect National Clinical Governance Standards
. - Champion best practice, continuous improvement and a culture of clinical excellence.
Your clinical expertise, leadership strengths and commitment to high standards will have a meaningful daily impact in the custody environment
To apply, you must be:
- A qualified RN Adult
, RMN (dual registration welcomed),
RGN
or Paramedic - Able to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months' Custody experience
- Three years post‑qualification experience
gained in one or more of the following:
General Practice, Emergency Medicine, Walk‑in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare, Mental Health Services, Ambulance Service - A UK resident for a minimum of 3 years
- Holder of a full manual driving licence
(no restrictions), with the ability to travel to other custody suites and local hospitals as required - Able to pass police vetting checks
