An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic, motivated team of renal nurses who deliver a high standard of specialist care at the Renal Dialysis Unit at Royal Liverpool University Hospital. This role provides leadership experience while delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care in a fast‑paced and supportive environment.

• Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients receiving haemodialysis.
• Act as nurse in charge in the absence of the Ward Manager.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to band 5 nurses and support staff.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and service development.
• Support education, mentorship, and preceptorship within the dialysis unit.
• Contribute to roster coordination and daily operational management.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safeguarding, and clinical governance standards.
• Manage risk and Health and Safety.
• Safeguard vulnerable adults.
• Maintain records management.

• Substantive haemodialysis experience.
• Post‑registration qualification in renal nursing.
• Recognised mentorship course or qualification.
• Strong commitment to delivering high‑quality patient care.
• Ability to support new starter pathways.
• Leadership and team management skills.
