Senior Chemotherapy Staff Nurse, Chemotherapy Treatment Unit, CCC-L

Network services are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior SACT nurse to join their team at Clatterbridge Liverpool to work with the breast MDT to lead the implementation of a new clinical model for review of CDK4 inhibitors. This is a fixed term, part time post, 28.5 hours for 23 months.

Working Pattern: 3 Days a week, 28.5 hours, Monday - Friday

Our flagship specialist cancer hospital in Liverpool opened in June 2020, supported by our hospital on the Clatterbridge Health Park in Wirral providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care, and our radiotherapy treatment centre on the Aintree Hospital site.

Working with leading experts from The University of Liverpool and the Cancer Research UK Liverpool Cancer Trials Unit we strive to stay at the forefront of novel treatments and techniques to deliver more effective and personalised treatments than ever before.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 6 SACT trained nurse to work at our CCC - Liverpool site. You will embark on a programme of dual training for both Oncology and Haematology systemic anticancer treatments. You must be highly motivated and willing to undergo training in the Haematology and chemotherapy fields.

As we deliver treatments in sector hubs and clinics across the Wirral and Liverpool, there will an element of cross cover required during training and once training has been completed. This will include travelling to all of our peripheral sites:

• CCC Private Unit Liverpool
• Clatterbridge in the Community

The successful applicant will support the team in a leadership role. You are required to be fully SACT trained with relevant SACT experience. You will support and educate junior staff and participate with educating and assessing.
