This is a full‑time 10 PA Specialist Grade in paediatric spine appointment. The post holder will work together with 6 spinal consultants, 13 orthopaedic consultants and 1 NIHR funded consultant at Alder Hey. Applicant must have a minimum two‑year fellowship in paediatric spinal deformity surgery.

Duties
It is envisaged that this post will attract 10 programmed activities per week (9 PA direct clinical care and 1 PA supporting professional activities). As per Trust Policy for new Specialist Grades increases beyond 1 SPA, in respect of defined roles with clear objectives, this can be negotiated by mutual agreement following annual job planning reviews.
This post attracts 10 programmed activities per week. At present there is no on‑call commitment. The job plan for the first three months will be based on a provisional/indicative timetable, and a formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and the Clinical Director within three months of the commencement date. The supporting professional activities (SPA) allocation within the provisional job plan is an illustrative guide only and will be finalised following individual agreement with the successful candidate.
