- Undertake blood-borne virus (BBV) screening, perform phlebotomy, and administer Hepatitis A/B vaccination programmes where clinically indicated.
- Undertake comprehensive assessments for individuals accessing substance misuse treatment services, focusing on both physical and mental health aspects.
- Deliver specialised nursing interventions like alcohol and opioid treatment programmes, community detoxification support, and recovery planning.
- Proactively offer harm reduction advice, needle exchange support, and promote health interventions to reduce substance-related harm.
- Conduct BBV screening, phlebotomy, and Hepatitis vaccination programmes, providing crucial healthcare interventions where needed.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse in Adult, Mental Health, or Learning Disability Nursing.
- Active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
- Evidence of ongoing professional development relevant to substance misuse, public health, or community nursing.
- Current NMC registration without restrictions.
- Experience working within substance misuse, community health, mental health, or public health services.
- Proven track record of delivering evidence-based clinical interventions for individuals affected by drugs and alcohol.
