Job summary

The ideal candidate will be a motivated cardiac physiologist with advanced CRM knowledge, strong clinical skills, experience managing and developing staff, and a commitment to service improvement and professional education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the cardiac science component of the Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) implant service.
  • Support the development and improvement of the CRM service.
  • Provide line management and supervision of staff.
  • Lead and support training and education within the department.
  • Perform a full range of cardiac diagnostic investigations

Essential Requirements
  • Qualified and experienced Cardiac Physiologist
    .
  • Proven expertise in Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), including implant services.
  • Competence in performing a full range of cardiac diagnostic tests
    .
  • Ability to deliver, facilitate, and support training for colleagues and trainees.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with the lead physiologist for Cath Lab to ensure the device implant service is efficiently integrated within the Cath labs.

The post holder will become competent in physiologist led reveal LINQ implantation

To manage the operation and staff of a designated area within the Cardiac Diagnostic Department.

To assist the departmental Manager in designated management aspects of the department plus deputise in their absence.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring continued service delivery of this specialism with adherence to national, international, and local best practice.

Responsible for identifying, advising, and introducing service developments and implementing changes to practice in the field based on best practice guidelines
