Description

We are looking for a brilliant Associate Director, People – an ambitious and highly capable individual who can make sure that our exceptional team are at the heart of everything we do.

Trivandi is currently in a phase of rapid growth, and as we scale, we require a Liverpool-based professional to join our small People Team who are based in Dubai, Liverpool, London and Riyadh. Reporting to our Director of People, you’ll be supporting the shaping our company from today to our future state – meeting the challenges and opportunities of working in a high‑growth environment.

The Associate Director, People is responsible for coaching the People Operations team and delivering on People deliverables that support our company objectives. This role provides day‑to‑day support across all areas of People, ensures compliance with employment legislation, and fosters a positive, inclusive, high‑performance culture. The post‑holder will partner closely with the Director of People and our leaders to shape workforce strategy, drive organisational capability, and enhance the employee experience.

Key Measures of Success:

  • Delivery of key People Plan deliverables and initiatives.
  • Improvements in colleague engagement and retention.
  • Effective management of ER, compliance, and people risk.
  • Efficient and high‑quality People Team service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Employment Law
  • Lead on consultation requirements for M&A and TUPE projects and support the Director of People with post‑merger integrations
  • Oversee complex employee relations cases, coaching other People Team members to develop their experience and knowledge and ensuring fair, consistent, & legally compliant outcomes.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of UK & Global employment legislation and ensure policies, processes, and practices comply with legal requirements and best practice.
Talent, Capability & Performance
  • Lead talent acquisition initiatives to attract, assess, and retain top talent.
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring clear expectations, capability development, and succession planning.
  • Support the development and roll‑out of our programmes for Manager enablement, early careers, and learning programmes.
People Operations & Systems
  • Ensure efficient, responsive, and compliant People operations and processes.
  • Together with the People Team build a scalable People Ops backbone: onboarding, employee life cycle, HRIS, payroll, offboarding, case management, knowledge base etc
  • Drive innovation through HRIS improvements, digital solutions, and automation.
Culture, Diversity & Inclusion
  • Lead initiatives that support a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
  • Role‑model organisational values and champion employee wellbeing.
About You

The key competencies and behaviours we are looking for include:

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Experience in a mid‑level People team role (Senior People Business Partner, Head of HR or equivalent) in high‑growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and People best practice. Experience supporting international or multi‑country teams a plus
  • Experience in partnering with mid-level leaders and influencing at this level.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change and transformation. M&A and/or TUPE experience a plus.
  • Strong capability across ER, talent, performance, reward, workforce planning and people operations. Ability to balance project roll‑out with hands on operational delivery.
  • Evidence of building inclusive cultures and driving engagement.
  • CIPD Level 7 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in a multi‑office or matrix environment.
  • Exposure to digital People transformation and data analytics.
