The Recruitment Assistant will provide high-quality administrative and operational support to the Recruitment Manager, helping to deliver an efficient, professional, and customer-focused recruitment service across the College.
As a key member of the HR team, the postholder will support the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding process, ensuring that vacancies are filled in a timely manner and that candidates, managers, and stakeholders receive an excellent experience throughout the recruitment journey. The role will contribute to attracting and securing talented individuals who will support the College's strategic objectives and values.
Working closely with the Recruitment Manager, hiring managers, and colleagues across the College, the Recruitment Assistant will help ensure recruitment processes are compliant, organised, and effective, while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

- Support the delivery of the College's end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring vacancies are filled efficiently and professionally.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including advertising vacancies, managing applications, arranging interviews, and issuing recruitment correspondence.
- Act as the first point of contact for recruitment-related enquiries, providing a responsive and customer-focused service to candidates, managers, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and confidential recruitment records, systems, and documentation in line with data protection requirements and best practice.
- Support pre‑employment checks, including references, right to work, DBS, qualification, and other compliance requirements.
- Prepare recruitment and onboarding documentation, including job packs, offers, and new starter information.
- Deliver an excellent candidate experience by ensuring clear communication and timely progression through all stages of recruitment.
- Work closely with recruiting managers to support recruitment campaigns and ensure adherence to College policies and procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and induction activities to support the successful integration of new employees into the College.
- Produce recruitment data, reports, and management information to support workforce planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Recruitment Manager and Heads of School to maintain an effective bank worker pipeline and fulfil staffing requirements.
- Support the College's commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and belonging by ensuring recruitment processes are fair, transparent, and accessible.
- Contribute to recruitment marketing, attraction campaigns, careers events, and initiatives that enhance the College’s employer brand.
- Identify opportunities to improve recruitment processes, systems, and candidate experience, supporting continuous service improvement.
- Promote inclusive recruitment practices and contribute to initiatives that encourage applications from underrepresented groups.
- Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of the role to support the effective delivery of HR and recruitment services.
