We are seeking an experienced HR Specialist to join their team on a fixed-term basis. Working alongside the Senior HR Specialist and HR & Payroll Assistant, you will deliver a professional, proactive HR service across the business.
A bit about the job Employee Relations & HR Advice Provide HR guidance on policies, procedures, TUPE, and employment law. Manage employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, and performance matters. Support sickness absence management, return-to-work discussions, and case resolution. Produce accurate HR correspondence and documentation. Coach managers to develop confidence in people management. Support complex cases with senior HR colleagues.
HR Operations Support onboarding, probation, performance management, and offboarding processes. Maintain accurate HR records and compliance data. Assist with compliance and DBS-related matters. Support TUPE transfers, including documentation and employee communication. Ensure HR processes remain compliant with employment legislation and company policies. Business Support & Improvement Partner with managers to provide practical HR solutions. Build strong working relationships across office and operational teams.
Support HR projects, policy reviews, engagement initiatives, and process improvements. Help drive positive change and enhance the employee experience. A little bit about you
You will have:
Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Specialist, or HR Generalist role. Strong employee relations experience and sound HR knowledge. Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice. Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience) desirable. Ability to work full-time from the office. You will be proactive, adaptable, solutions-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while working independently and as part of a team.
