We're now looking for an Event Venue Technician to join our team at The Catalyst in Newcastle, where you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality events and providing technical support in a vibrant, innovative environment. The Catalyst Newcastle | Flexible Workspace in Newcastle What You'll Be Doing As a key member of the centre team, you'll take the lead on AV and technical support for events, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You will:
Deliver end-to-end AV and technical support for a range of events, including hybrid and high-profile events Work closely with customers and speakers to plan requirements and ensure smooth delivery Set up, test and operate AV equipment, including pre-event checks and practice sessions Provide live troubleshooting and on-the-day support during events Support event delivery, including room setups, logistics and front-of-house coordination Maintain and proactively check AV systems to ensure reliability Work with internal teams and partners to deliver a seamless customer experience Want the full picture?

What You'll Bring We're looking for someone who is technically confident, customer-focused and proactive in their approach. Strong experience working with AV systems, including conferencing and streaming platforms Experience supporting events and delivering a high level of service to a range of stakeholders A practical, hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to support the wider team A relevant technical qualification or equivalent experience in a similar environment Why You'll Love Working Here We offer more than just a job – we offer a supportive environment where you can develop your skills and be part of something meaningful.
