The main purpose of this role is to support and drive Nexor’s business development activity by delivering technical cyber security consulting expertise and helping to generate and grow the sales pipeline in line with Nexor’s strategic objectives and three-year growth plan.

Using a strong understanding of security technology consulting services, including requirements capture, solution architecture design, technology integration, interoperability testing, and technical programme leadership, the role will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and internal stakeholders.

The role will serve as the primary technical representative at selected customer sites, ensuring customer requirements are clearly understood and effectively met through the implementation of Nexor’s products and services. In addition, the role will provide valuable market intelligence and customer feedback to relevant internal teams, including insights into competitor activity, product improvements, technical opportunities, and support service requirements.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Undertake technical pre-sales engagements with customers, engaging effectively with SROs, Directors, and customer solution architects at the appropriate level of technical detail.

Elicit and define customer business and technical requirements, providing high-quality input into bids, proposals, and solution designs using Nexor and, where appropriate, third-party technologies.

Maintain a strong working knowledge of Nexor’s product portfolio, related technologies, and competitor offerings to effectively position Nexor for future programmes and projects.

Support the design and development of technical solutions to business challenges and act as a key stakeholder for business requirements, clarifying these where required by engineering or product management teams.

Provide technical pre-sales support across Nexor products and services, including verification of technical responses and solution content.

Promote Nexor’s products, services, and expertise while developing strong relationships with end users, Government Contractor Primes, industry influencers, and key stakeholders.

Apply cyber security and information assurance expertise to support product and service development, deployment, and accreditation activities.

Work with certifying authorities and accreditors to address security concerns and develop suitable solution architectures.

Design and document solution architectures, including the use of the SIXA® architecture where applicable.

Contribute market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and maintain market competitiveness.

Act as a subject matter expert on Nexor technologies and standards for both internal teams and customers.

Other Duties

Support marketing and business development activities, including customer-facing events, presentations, speaking engagements, and creation of customer or opportunity-specific collateral.

Required Skills to be successful in this role

The candidate should be able to demonstrate strong ability and experience in the following areas:

Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.

Experience designing high-level architectures, requirements management, and technical specifications, translating these into detailed technical designs.

Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.

Innovative and analytical mindset with the ability to conceptualise solutions.

Ability to work effectively across multiple levels of technical abstraction.

Required Knowledge to be successful in this role

The candidate should be able to demonstrate good working knowledge in the following areas:

Good understanding of Cyber Security and ICT technologies.

Knowledge of security standards, processes, and security enforcement measures.

Understanding of networking principles including VLANs, subnetting, and fibre-optic networks.

Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies across public and private cloud environments.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Locations

Home-based role with regular travel to customer sites across the UK, ideally suited to candidates based in the South of the UK.
