Overview

We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, solid SQL skills, and proven experience working in Agile environments. You will collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and Developers to deliver data-driven insights and business solutions. Experience with in the music or the music publishing industry is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, translating them into functional and technical specifications, while leveraging AI-powered tools to improve efficiency and quality
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points, and opportunities for improvement
• Identify opportunities to apply AI and automation to improve business processes and team efficiency
• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to design and implement solutions
• Write SQL queries to test and analyse data
• Use Python (where applicable) for data analysis, automation, or prototyping
• Support data validation, testing, and quality assurance processes
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand‑ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Maintain and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Facilitate communication between technical and non‑technical stakeholders
• Produce clear documentation, including process flows, requirements, and reports

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Solid SQL skills (data querying, joins, aggregations, performance optimisation)
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Experience with data analysis and reporting
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar
• Exposure to BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Quicksight, Micro Strategy)
• Strong understanding of how AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) can be used to enhance business analysis, documentation, and productivity

Desirable Skills

• Experience in the music or music publishing industry
• Basic to intermediate Python skills (data manipulation, scripting, or automation)
• Experience with data platforms or cloud environments, especially AWS
• Knowledge of data modelling concepts
• Understanding of APIs and system integrations
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
