ICT Test & Release Manager needed Paying £425 per day
Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the end-to-end test and release lifecycle for core ICT systems and applications.
- Develop, maintain, and execute test strategies, test plans, and regression testing schedules for system upgrades, enhancements, and releases.
- Coordinate System Acceptance Testing (SAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and defect management activities.
- Work closely with business users, subject matter experts, suppliers, and project teams to ensure testing requirements are understood and delivered.
- Manage release schedules, deployments, and change activities in line with ITIL and change management processes.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact testing, release timelines, service availability, or system quality.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional testing teams and stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of testing and release objectives.
- Monitor, track, and report on testing progress, defects, risks, and release readiness to senior stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, test automation opportunities, and release management practices.
- Maintain test, release, and system documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational standards and audit requirements.
- Liaise with software suppliers and third-party partners to manage defects, support issue resolution, and improve service delivery.
- Ensure all releases meet agreed quality standards, service levels, and business requirements before deployment into production.
- Support the strategic development of test and release management tools, processes, and best practices across the ICT function.
- Promote compliance with information security, data protection, health and safety, and relevant policing standards and policies.
